Trunk-or-Treat and Carving Pumpkins

Last Friday, my ward had their Trunk-Or-Treat for all the families in our neighborhood. As you can see, I am a cow. Aren't I the cutest cow you've ever seen! It was quite chilly but my costume kept me warm and cozy. I walked around the trunks, but didn't collect any candy. My adoptive mom said that I couldn't eat it yet, but next year will be lots of fun! I saw all the candy the they were handing out to the other kids. I can't wait!!!!

Now, I am just chilling with my adoptive dad, handing out candy to the other kids. It was pretty fun. We ran out of candy about the time that I spit-up all over my adoptive mom. Good timing, huh?

On Saturday, we carved our pumpkin. My dad did most of the work. He wanted me to touch the gooey insides of the pumpkin. I didn't think they were all that entertaining. Maybe next year will I'll enjoy them more. We carved our pumpkin at my adoptive grandparents house and then had a BBQ. I, of course, was only allowed my bottle. It was Yummy! :)

Just hanging out with my adoptive mom while the guys are carving pumpkins. My adoptive dad's brother is trying to take a picture of me smiling.... This is the closest. I don't like to perform so when the camera comes out, I am done smiling and laughing. It drives my adoptive parents crazy..... but isn't that really my job?

I'm Growing Up!

On October 9th, I discovered that I had Feet! And the best part is -- they can go in my mouth! It's amazing and so much fun. My adoptive mom laughed at me the first night that I got them in my mouth. I puckered up my mouth, looked at my feet and then stuck them right back in. They didn't taste so bad after that.

On Friday, my adoptive mom and her best friend, Mischell took me and Mischell's kids to Engh Gardens to take pictures at their pumpkin patch. The wind was blowing and I didn't like that at all. I was the party pooper because I didn't want the wind blowing or the sun shining in my face. My adoptive mom did get a few pictures. What do you think of my Halloween costume? Pretty cute, Huh?

Here I am with my new friend, the orange pumpkin. Can you say -- Smile! -- :)

Saturday morning, I was in the swing playing with my toys and the next thing that my adoptive parents knew, I was sound asleep. I must of been pretty tired, because I fell asleep right on my toys! I'm silly, huh?

Today was Stake (Regional) conference. Here is the dress that I wore. Aren't I cute as a button? I really liked the dress, the material was all new and felt kind of strange. It's fun to wear because I feel like a princess! :)

Four Months..... Wow!

My adoptive mom took this picture a week ago, but forgot to post it. I've been occupying her every moment the last few weeks. If I'm awake (which I am most of the time now), I want to play! Can you believe that I am 4 months old.... Look how big i've gotten...

More pics from Michigan

Here is Matthew.... He is about 4 months older than me, but he really liked to steal my binkie. He didn't want to use it, but he liked to take it out of my seat. I think he is jealous of my hair -- he would try and pull my curl if someone wasn't looking....

Here is my adoptive dad, Charlie, and Aunt Sharon making apple pie. I didn't get to try it, but everyone else said it was yummy!

Here is Matthew and Charlie playing with me. They were funny and made me laugh. Here they were playing peek-a-boo and talking to me. They sure were fun!

My adoptive dad and Uncle Seth went to the Michigan game on Saturday. After we picked them up, I was so tired, that I just crashed. I got to sleep in my cousin Matthew's crib. It was really comfortable and I slept great! It was so nice to sleep. All the talk about the game wore me right out!

I hope that you all had a great week! I loved my visit to Michigan and hope that I get to go again soon! Sweet Dreams!

Lots of Fun in Michigan!

Here I am waiting in the SLC airport for our plane to board. I wasn't sure what to expect on the flight, but I was excited. Yesterday, Romeo (our dog) chewed through the straps on my car seat, so my adoptive mom had to find me a new car seat. Boy was she mad at Romeo.... it was funny! :) We left in the afternoon and flew all night to get to Detriot. It was midnight EST time when we landed, and by that time, I was sound asleep.

The first day that we were in Michigan, we went to the Ford Rouge Tour. It was fun, but the factory was really noisy. I had a bottle and slept through most of it, while I got wheeled around in the stroller. Here's a picture of all of us - I really enjoyed being the Charlie and Matthew. They are tons of fun.... :)

On Friday, we went to Erwin Orchards and picked apples with Aunt Sharon, Charlie, Matthew, and my adoptive parents. We had a good time. It was super hot, but everyone enjoyed eating the apples. Too bad, I can't have them yet, they sure looked good. Uncle Seth couldn't come because he had a presentation at school. We missed him. So we made sure that we took him a pumpkin doughnut and some apple cider.

At the orchard, I got to ride on a tractor that pulls wagons to get around the orchard. It was fun. I didn't like the breeze in my face, but there sure where a lot of trees!

Here is my cousin Charlie. I am not sure what he is doing, but he talked the whole time that we were picking apples. He made everything fun - even in the heat....

Yucky!

This week hasn't been much fun for me. I have not felt good and have cried a lot. After 2 nights of not sleeping and not eating very well, my adoptive mom took me to the doctor on Thursday. Dr. Miles told her that I had a slight fever, but he couldn't see anything wrong with me. So he sent us to the hospital for blood tests and X-rays. My adoptive mom cried all the way to the hospital. She was really worried about me. I was brave and didn't cry until they took my blood. That really hurt, but there were really nice to me and gave me lots of love after they finished. The x-ray technicians were really nice too. After Dr. Miles got my test results, he told us that everything looked good, but the x-ray showed I had a lot of stuff in my intestinal tract. So he wants me to start eating a few fruits and vegetables and to have messy diapers 2x a day.
Luckily, I didn't have to get me shots this time and my adoptive mom rescheduled that appointment for 2 weeks. To top off the whole week, my adoptive mom has a really bad cold and is not feeling her best either. So, my grandma came to take care of me for 2 days so my mom could sleep and get better. It's always fun to have grandma here. I'm so glad that she drove for 3 hours to come and see me and take care of me. It was fun to spend time with her.

Sorry there aren't any pictures. My adoptive mom hasn't felt very good and forgot to take some. I'll see if I can get my adoptive dad to take some today and post them later.

What a weekend!

This week has been a week of 1st.

I started teething this week. I am not sure that I am fond of this at all. It really hurts a lot. My adoptive mom seems to think that it's okay to put her finger in my mouth and rub my gums -- I don't like that much. However, right after she does, they don't seem to hurt as much - so maybe it's okay.

I also discovered this week that I can make noise. I love to hear my voice and I babble and coo as much as possible. My adoptive parents are so silly when I make noise - they think I am talking to them. I really just want to hear my voice.

Today, my adoptive mom held me on her lap, while my adoptive dad feed me rice cereal. I am not sure about that stuff. It feels really weird in my mouth and doesn't taste like my baba (bottle) does. I had a few bites, but I just don't know if I like it. My adoptive mom said that we could try a little more tomorrow. I just have to wait and see if it's any better
tomorrow. :)

This morning just before church, I rubbed my eye and scratched my cheek. It isn't pretty, but I just couldn't help myself. I tried to tell my adoptive parents that it was an accident, but they don't seem to understand any of my jabbering. Imagine that....

All dressed up and ready to go. My birthdad's mom bought this outfit for me. Don't I look comfy and warm. I got to wear this on one of the cold days last week. It kept me warm and cozy.

Don't I look peaceful and comfy? I really don't like my car sear much, but I was so tired this morning that I didn't complain at all and went right to sleep :)

I just finished my first taste of Rice Cereal. I am not to sure about that stuff yet. It is really different than my bottle.

Hey guys, did you know that my swing has toys on it? Wow, I just figured it out. They are great! I love to look at the baby in the mirror. She is really cute! :)

It's past my bedtime. Sweet dreams!

Weekend of Fun?

Don't I look peaceful? I'm having trouble deciding if I like to nap on my side or my back. But there is not doubt about it --- I LOVE MY NAPS!

I am Definitely a CUTE COUGAR! Saturday was game day, but they played in Tulsa, so we went to my adoptive dad's work open house. I got to see Cosmo, but we didn't get to him fast enough for a picture. I think my adoptive dad was sad. It was fun and of course I was the life of the party... everyone wanted to see me! They all said I was the cutest thing there.

I've had a rough weekend. My mouth really hurts and I haven't been extremely happy. It's a good thing that my adoptive parents love me and have so much patience. I've cried a lot, but they didn't get mad. They just held me and loved me so I could get some sleep.

I'm off to bed now, so I hope that you all have sweet dreams :)

Look How Big I've Gotten

Time flies....

Time flies when you are having fun and growing like a weed! This past week was really busy for my adoptive parents (I didn't help much - I was really fussy at night). My gums are starting to be sore and I chew on everything I can get my hands on, but my fingers are my favorite item to stick in my mouth! Yum, Yum!

On Friday, my adoptive mom took me to Kiddie Kandids to get my picture taken and I didn't want to cooperate. I cried and cried. I was so happy when she finally figured out it wasn't going to be today. After we left the mall, my adoptive dad's family called and invited us to dinner at Famous Dave's. It is super loud in there, but it was fun to see my uncle and my grandpa (grandma is in St. George for a week).

Saturday was GAME DAY! My adoptive dad was so excited to get me dressed up in my BYU Gear. Here is what I wore for the game.... Luckily, I didn't have to go to the stadium and sit in the sun with all the loud and obnoxious fans.... I stayed with my aunt that lives in South Provo. It was way more fun.... :)

When my adoptive parents came to pick me after the game, my adoptive mom was tickling me and a started making this funny noise -- my adoptive mom got really excited told everyone that I was giggling and laughing. Of course, then everyone dropped what they were doing and rushed in to see me perform. I loved everyone's reaction, I should try that again sometime.

Sunday, after church, we drove out to my adoptive mom's family farm. I didn't much care for the car ride, but otherwise it was okay. We traveled around to a few houses so that my extended adoptive family could see me. That was way too much excitement for me. I was very happy when bedtime rolled around and boy, did I sleep like a champ!

Monday (Labor Day) was Fishing Day! The wind was blowing and I was crying. I didn't know what to think about that. I did look quite cute with my hat on. I got to spend a lot of time with my adoptive mom in the car, that wasn't so bad.

Someone had brought a portable swing and I really like that. I liked it so much I fell right to sleep. Dreaming..........

All in all, it was a busy weekend. I am so excited to be back at home and back to my routine. I really feel much better when I know what is happening next. It's my bedtime, so I am going to bed -- Hope all of you have a very nice night ;) Sweet Dreams!

Is that Pooh?

Is that Pooh, hanging over my swing? I love to watch the mobile that is over my swing. Pooh, Piglet, and Eyeore just float right by...
I have had a rough weekend. I don't really want to take naps so I fight them until I am so tired all I can do is cry... it's a good think that my adoptive parents are so patient with me. I cried a lot this weekend and they didn't even get mad. They just rocked me and rocked me.
I did get to see my birthparents on Saturday at their new apartment. That was really fun. I love them so much. It was fun to play with them for a minute.
My mom is getting ready for work so I need to get dressed. I hope everyone has a Happy Monday! ;)

My 2 Favorite Things

My 2 favorite things.... My Hands and Watching TV. Usually I sit on the couch with my adoptive dad to watch TV, but tonight he is working so I am hanging out with my adoptive mom. Although I didn't keep my end of the bargain (I cried a lot tonight - I was really tired), she is still posting a picture of me.
Maybe tomorrow will be better and she'll get some great pictures of me to share. Good Night, don't let the bed bugs bite! :)

Trying hard not to smile....

I've noticed that my adoptive mom hasn't been very good about posting pictures lately. We've had a talk about it and she promised me she would be better. She has gone back to work and is busy, but I promised to be good a few nights every week so she can post pictures of me.
I love to smile and giggle, but I don't want it be be caught on camera (aren't I sneaky?). My adoptive mom tried really hard on Sunday to catch me smiling on film, but not luck. I did get to wear my hair bow for the first time - don't I look pretty?
My adoptive mom told me last weekend, that it's like I grew up over night. She said she looked at me on Friday morning and realized that I'm not a newborn anymore. I am having a lot more fun that I did as a newborn! I am trying to roll over and I love my hands, they are the best toy ever! I even like my rattles now, but I can't hold them for very long. I am trying to sleep longer at night. Some nights I even sleep for 6 hours at a time, but usually I sleep for 3-4. I am eating about 4 ozs at each feeding, and my adoptive dad told me that I can burp like a champ!
My adoptive mom needs to get to bed so that she can get a little sleep before I wake her up for my baba (bottle). Sweet Dreams! :)

Now that is comfortable!

Now, that's what I call comfort.... This is my favorite sleeping position. Don't you think it looks comfortable? My adoptive parents don't think so. They just don't know what comfort is!

This is so much fun!

I think this toy is my new favorite. It moves, plays music and moos at me! I love it! When I wave my arms and touch any of the parts, everyone gets so excited!!!! They clap and cheer and tell me how wonderful I am. Now, tell the truth, wouldn't all of you like to have a toy like that?

This last week has been full of firsts for me. I discovered that I take my hands wherever I go and they taste way better than my binky. I learned that when I kick and wave my arms wildly, everyone cheers and thinks I am better anything else. Being the center of attention suits me just fine.... I have also discovered that I can coo and make all sorts of babbling noises and they get repeated back to me. WOW! it's been an adventurous week.

Look - A New Toy

I have a new favorite toy. It is a black and white spotted cow. It had a rattle inside and when someone touches it, it makes a crinkly sound....

Okay, I do like my cow, but my new favorite toy is really MY HANDS. Do you know how fun they are? Plus, they go with me wherever I go. Isn't that great! Sometimes they make noise and sometimes they are quiet. I haven't quite figured out why that is, but I really like my hands. My fingers are just the perfect size to fit into my mouth and they usually taste pretty darn good. I even love just watching my hands move in and out of my vision. How do they do that? They are amazing!

Can't I just sleep?

Since I got my shots on Friday, all I want to do is sleep. Don't I look comfortable though? Now that I've slept all weekend, I'm ready to go now. Of course, my adoptive mom says it's bedtime, I just want to play... Who do you think will win?
I did go to the zoo on Friday, but we didn't stay long and I slept the whole time - so, no photo opportunities were available. Maybe next time.

Do you like my new hat?

What do you think of my new hat? Cute, huh! My adoptive mom has been really bad lately about posting pictures. She feels really bad. I think that I am wearing her out.... I had my 2-month (8-week) doctor appointment today. I weighed 10 lbs and was 22 1/2 inches long. The doctor said that I looked great and he thought that I was doing wonderful. Then they gave me my shots. They hurt really bad. I cried so hard it made my adoptive mom cry to. It really, really hurt. I don't ever want to go back there again if they are going to give me shots when I go. Yucky!

Tonight, my adoptive dad's employer is having their summer party at the zoo. My adoptive dad has been so excited to take me. I hope that I feel a little better so that I don't disappointment him by being sad and fussy. Maybe we'll get some good pictures that we can post tomorrow....

Hope you are all doing well - I'm enjoying my nap time today.... zzzz

Pink Bunny or Cute Kid?

Aren't I cute in my bunny towel? I really do love my baths and I am so happy and content wrapped up in my warm towel. My adoptive parents wanted everyone to see how cute I am all wrapped up in my bunny towel.

My adoptive mom keeps reminding me that I have an appointment with Dr. Miles on Friday - what exactly is she trying to tell me? I hope that nothing bad is going to happen. Maybe it's going to hurt this time? I am not sure I like this at all.

Some nights I am starting to sleep better - almost 6 hours at a time. Of course, I can't do it everynight or it would be expected of me. Isn't really my job to keep my adoptive parents on their toes......
