I Can Do It!

I am finally brave enough to walk by myself. I got A Little Mermaid car for my birthday from Hiedi and Jeremy and it is my favorite toy. I've pushed it all over the house at least a hundred times. So now, I am brave enough to try it for myself!

However, that also means that my adoptive mom spends way more time watching me and not getting stuff done - like making posts on the blog... Sorry!

See how big I am getting!

Cake - Yum!

My cake was aWinne The Pooh cake. "My friends Tigger and Pooh" is my favorite TV show. I watch it ever Sunday before church.

I am 1 Year Old! Wow Times Flies....

This is me at my birthday breakfast... I love french toast, so that's what we had. I also got my first taste of strawberry and chocolate milk. They were both good, but I liked the chocolate better (doesn't everyone).

Here is my party. We had a BBQ at the park. It was cold but I had a good time. I got to see lots of people who love me. I saw my birthparents and their families. I really enjoyed spending some time with them. I don't see them very often.

I loved my birthday cake. It was so good I ate 2 pieces. I didn't make a very big mess. I think that my adoptive dad was disappointed. Oh well.

This is one of the presents that I got. It was from my birthparents. It is nursery rhyme book. When I push the buttons it talks and sings to me. I thought it was silly and am giggling.

All in all, I had a great 1st birthday! It was great to see everyone and to know that I have so many people that love me.
My adoptive mom got sick on my birthday so she didn't get the pictures posted very quickly. Sorry!

My 1st Family Vacation :)

I got to go on my 1st family vacation the last week of May. We went up to Yellowstone National Park. We stayed in a condo in West Yellowstone, Montana. I traveled in 4 states on my vacation. I am not sure if that's good or not. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually - right?

I got to go swimming for the 1st time. There was a pool in the condo that we stayed in. The water was cold and I really didn't like it. I enjoyed splashing a little, but it didn't take long to be so cold that nothing was fun. I did like to run around the condo in my new "Nemo" swimming suit... Aren't I the cutest - in my little blue tutu?

This picture was taken at Gibbon Falls. It was a little cold but I really liked the sound of the rushing water. I really just wanted to touch the water, but no one would let me.

My uncle Fon gave me my 1st piggyback ride. I really liked that! I definitely want to do that again. I am so tall!

Look at me so quiet - napping in my new "Big Girl" car seat. It really wasn't to comfortable to nap in, but I like to look out the windows while we are driving. My adoptive parents bought me a doll to play with during the drive to West Yellowstone. It is my new favorite toy! I love to give her hugs and kisses. Guess what? She has a binky just like me - I take it out and put it back in and take it out and put it back in!

I didn't sleep very well while we were away. I just couldn't find a comfortable place or position. I really don't like to be away from home for very long or be out of my routine. I like everything to be predictable.

We were all very happy to get home and to sleep in our own beds. I slept for 12 hours the night we got home. My adoptive parents were so happy :) Don't tell them, but I don't plan on that happening again anytime soon.

Gotta go - my adoptive mom says it is past my bedtime. Sweet Dreams!

Just Hanging around the House

One of my favorite things to do is look out the window and pound my hands on the window. It's fun - like my own music show.

As you can see, I like to spread my toys out over the entire room and then play with them. My adoptive mom really wanted me to get my PJ's on for bed, but I don't understand why she couldn't see that I was busy?

Smiling for the camera :)

Mom, I think you are crazy.... My adoptive dad liked this picture so he told my adoptive mom to make sure that it got on the blog. I think we both look silly :)

We hope that you all have a very happy Memorial Day weekend. We are going on vacation for a few days and I get a big girl car seat - Yeah!!!

Me and My Teddy Bear

Hurry up and take this picture... I have places to go and things to do....
Can you believe that I am 11 months old and will soon be a Year Old?? Time sure does fly by...

Mothers Day - Fun on the Farm

I got my 1st 4-Wheeler Ride over Mother's Day Weekend. It was fun. I liked it best when my adoptive dad went fast!

Do I have to touch Dolly (the horse)? It's okay to look at, but I am not sure that I want to touch her.....
A little too close! A litte to close!!! Back up! Back up!!!

I am not sure about this tire swing. I am a little concerned about not being able to control the rocking motion myself. It it is not as relaxing as my swing..... I might try that again just to be sure if I like it or not.

I spend Mother's Day weekend with my adoptive mom's family. It was fun. I like to go to the farm and see all the animals. I didn't get a chance to see my adoptive parents. I'd had the flu all week and was tired and still didn't feel my best. I get to see them this week! Yah!!!!

It's been a rough month for me and my adoptive parents. I had a ear infection in the right ear three weeks ago. The next week my adoptive mom and I had the flu. Then last week I got another ear infection in the left ear. I have not been a very happy girl. I hope to feel better this week!

Finally - Me and My Bear

Why do they put me in front of this bear every month? He sure is funny looking!

At least I can look him straight in the eye now.

Look What I Can Do!!

This is my new trick. I'm pretty proud of myself. Every time I stand by myself it gets a little longer... It won't be long until I just take off!

10 Months Old!

I am 10 months old. I'm just too fast for the camera and my adoptive mom. She tried and tried to get me to stay by the teddy bear for this picture, but I can crawl and I'm not going to just sit there and not move. Let me see that camera.....

Look What I can do!

I don't know who took everything out of my diaper bag. :)

I can crawl? Now I can get wherever I want!

Favorite Foods

I Love Macaroni & Cheese... Yummy! I make a big cheesy mess and I love that too!

My other favorite food is Green Beans. I get to have them more often than mac & cheese. My adoptive mom says they are really good for me.

Yummy!

I've recently discovered Vanilla Wafers, as well. They are pretty good too. My adoptive mom didn't get a picture of me eating a circus peanut - that was the biggest mess of all! It was so yummy!

Please can't I have 1 one Vanilla Wafer... I'm being really, really good.

Some of my other favorite foods are: Yogurt, Cottage Cheese, Green Peas, Sweet Potatoes, Cheese, Kix, Pears, Bananas, and Peaches. (I'm not very picky, but I'll always eat these - I just love 'em.)

My New Hairstyle....

Here is my new hair-style. My adoptive mom thinks its fun to put pigtails in my hair. I don't mind as long as she doesn't take to long. What do you think? Should I keep it?

My 1st Easter!

Hi Everyone,
It's been a little while since I've done a post. I'm sorry! I am still trying to catch up on the sleep that I have missed over the last week. It's been a crazy week for my adoptive mom and she hasn't had much time to help me with this. So she told me she'd do it after I went to bed tonight. I'll check up on her in the morning.

Sweet Dreams!

Can't I eat the egg? It looks delicious!

It makes noise when I put the fish in. I like it!!!

This new phone makes fun noises. Will it drive everyone crazy if I just open and close it a thousand times.... I bet it will - let's try!

This green stuff is so strange... I am not sure if I like it. Let's tell the Easter Bunny to not put this in my easter basket next year. Thanks!

We hope that you all had a very Happy Easter! We did.

I'm Nine Months Old!!!

We have been having trouble with our internet connection. Not sure what is going on. Anyway!!!! Can you believe that I am 9 months old? Wow - Time flies..... I went to see Dr. Miles on Friday for my 9-month well-baby visit. I am 27 1/2 inches long and weigh 16 lbs and 14 ozs.

My new favorite thing is to talk all the time.....I think I drive my adoptive mom crazy....

I'm Growing Up So Fast!

YUMMY! - Chocolate pudding is delicious. What do you think of my pudding mustache?
Should I make it a regular look?

I finally figured out how to use my sippy cup! Yeah! But I don't like milk it in.
Only juice belongs in the sippy cup.
(My adoptive mom sometimes thinks that I'll try something new -
but I really only like juice in my sippy cup.)

I have a purple octopus that takes a bath with me every night.

I figured out that I can put him in my mouth. Aren't I a big girl?

I am all tired out from trying to crawl.

This crawling stuff is hard work. I just need to rest for a little while.

How come I can only go backwards. Help me! My toys are getting farther away.

My adoptive mom tells me almost everyday that I am growing up too fast. I don't know about that. I just want to be able to chase Romeo (our dog) and move as fast as my toys that roll away from me. I really like standing up next to things. I keep everyone guessing on whether I am going to crawl or walk first. -- Psst, I'll keep you posted.

Sweet Dreams!

Den of Illness

My adoptive mom and I have been sick with horrible colds for weeks. Sorry we haven't posted much. My adoptive mom said that she will try tomorrow after we've both had some more sleep. Sweet Dreams!

I'm 8 Months Old....

Can you believe that I am 8 months old? Look how big I am! My adoptive parents caught me smiling - that is rare when a camera is out. I love to smile -- just not for the camera.

This is one of my new favorite sleeping positions. My adoptive mom doesn't think that it looks comfortable at all... What do you think?

Here is another one of my recent sleeping positions.... I like this one much better. I can sleep longer like this.... Sleep - I love it!

I still love my bathtime. It is the the best part of every night. I play until the water is cold and my adoptive mom says I have to get out. Can we live in the bathtub with our bath toys? I should figure out how....

I started eating some crackers this weekend. Now I don't want anything else. My adoptive parents will be glad when my palate returns to normal. They seem to like it better when I eat my fruits and veggies. I wonder why????
My adoptive mom and I have been sick for a few weeks. We've both been really tired and not very pleasant. We are finally starting to feel better and that is so nice. I had to go back to the dr. last week because my ear infection wasn't completely gone. I am feeling much better now. It's way past my bedtime tonight so I need to close up and go to bed. Have good sleepy time. Luv you!
