Yeah! Michigan!

We left for Detroit, Michigan on March 5 at 7:10 in the morning. So mom and I went in our Pajamas. It was awesome! Although we didn't take off until about 40 minutes later due to the de-icing of the plane. When dad dropped mom and I off at the airport, I wasn't quite sure what was happening, but when we got closer to the plane, I got really excited and started say, "Plane, Plane, Plane" over and over again. I am a great traveler. I had my own seat and I played with my toys, drew pictures, read books with my mom, and sang songs all the way to Detroit. I finally fell asleep as the wheels touched the ground in Detriot. My mom carried me asleep in my carseat through the airport to meet Uncle Seth. My mom was so glad to see him. I stayed asleep until about the time we started walking to the car. We were so excited to be there and to see the boys. I loved my Uncle Seth right away and since my dad couldn't come because of work, I attached myself right away. Uncle Seth is amazing! I loved Aunt Sharon and the boys too. They are all amazing!!! I just wish that I got to see them more. They were so much fun to hang out with!!!

My mom and I went to Michigan to visit my Uncle Seth, Aunt Sharon, Charlie, and Matthew. We had so much fun! The day after our arrival, we all got dressed up and went to the park. It was really nice, but a little windy. Here is my cousin Matthew and I in the stroller getting ready to leave for the park.

I figured out how to use the stairs to the slide quickly, so that I could do it by myself. I went down the slide over and over and over. My mom was so proud of me.

I love to be in the swing, so as soon as one was available, my mom helped me in and then pushed me. It was a blast! What is better than a sunny day and a park!

Look - I can ride the pelican!

Here we are (Matthew, me, and Charlie) after we finished playing in the park. We were all tired.

We went to "Sidetrack Bar & Grill" for lunch on Saturday. Aunt Sharon said that Oprah said it had the best burgers ever.... It was fun and they were pretty good. I really loved the sweet potato fries - Yummy!! :) Above, I am with my cousins, Uncle Seth, and my mom. Aunt Sharon took the picture!

Here I am devouring the sweet potato fries - by the way - they came with my mom's lunch not mine... Ha, Ha, Ha.

My Uncle Seth and Aunt Sharon read a lot of books at their house and I loved it. I loved to sit in Uncle Seth's lap for any reason.

Uncle Seth gave us all a horsey ride before bed on Saturday. I wasn't to sure about that, but the boys loved it!

All dressed for church. I wouldn't got to nursery without my mom, so I had to go with her to her classes. It was okay, but at least I didn't have to stay and play with people that I didn't know.

I really liked playing this this toy. I spent a lot of time playing with the different sides.

On Monday, we went to the "Toledo Zoo" in Toledo OH. It took about 40 minutes to drive there from the Uncle Seth and Aunt Sharon's house. It was a little cold when we got there, so we all bundled up and off we went.

Here I'm checking out the penguins. I thought they were funny. The zoo is also where I said the words "Animals, Bear, and Slide" for the 1st time. I growled at the Lion when I saw them and wanted to be just like the big kids and walk instead of ride in the stroller. By the time we'd had lunch and walked around most of the zoo, we found a playground and of course, we had to stop and play.

This is called the "Beaver Dam". It had a few tunnels through it just the right size for kids. While I was running around in it, Charlie and some older kids came up put their Claws up and said, "RRRRR", I bent my knees, put my hands up and said, "RRRRR" right back. My mom was so proud of me. I laughed and laughed when then left.

There was another slide. Yeah! This one was a little taller, but I loved it anyway. If you can't tell in the picture, my knee has some dirt on it. I feel off the slide and got turned around while going down the slide a few times, but boy did I have fun!

We were so tired after we left the zoo that Matthew and I fell soundly asleep. Charlie was too busy talking with my mom to sleep.

All in all we had a great time! We didn't really want to go, but we were ready to see our daddy.

We flew back on March 10 and I traveled really good - when we landed in Salt Lake, my mom let me walk through the airport holding her hand. I'm sure she wished that she could just carry me so that we to get home faster, but I was so tired of sitting. My poppa and nana (my daddy's parents) met us at the airport. Daddy was teaching at SLCC. We were about an hour late getting home and I was so happy to be back in my bed.

Thackers in Michigan - Thanks for letting us come and visit! Thanks for sharing your bed and room with us, Charlie and Matthew. We love you all!!!!! We hope to come back really soon.
