Pink Bunny or Cute Kid?

Aren't I cute in my bunny towel? I really do love my baths and I am so happy and content wrapped up in my warm towel. My adoptive parents wanted everyone to see how cute I am all wrapped up in my bunny towel.

My adoptive mom keeps reminding me that I have an appointment with Dr. Miles on Friday - what exactly is she trying to tell me? I hope that nothing bad is going to happen. Maybe it's going to hurt this time? I am not sure I like this at all.

Some nights I am starting to sleep better - almost 6 hours at a time. Of course, I can't do it everynight or it would be expected of me. Isn't really my job to keep my adoptive parents on their toes......

So much to do...

Today my adoptive parents put me on the floor on this nice soft play blanket and put some rattles on my wrists. It was so fun. It took me a little while to figure out what was making that noise, but once I did --- it was rattling all over the place. There is so much to learn and do. It's a shame I have to waste time eating and sleeping.

I've decided that I don't much care for afternoon naps, but by dinner time I am quite cranky. It's a good thing that my adoptive mom is so patient with me. She tries to help me relax and take a little cat-nap before my adoptive dad gets home from work. Everyone likes it more when I am smiling (plus it is a lot quieter).

I've recently discovered that there is a dog at my home. His name is Romeo and he likes to sniff me and give me kisses. He always sits right by my adoptive mom's feet when she is feeding or burping me. He is so nice and soft. I can't wait until I get a little bigger and can play with him.

Sorry this entry is a collage of items, but my adoptive mom has had some migraines this week and hasn't been able to post. We hope that everyone is doing well. It's late and we definitely need our beauty sleep. Happy Dreaming!

Uh-oh

My adoptive mom has had a very bad headache the past several days, so she hasn't been able to post - but she is feeling much better now.
Tonight I've learned that I can splash the water out of my tub and get my adoptive mom wet. Boy, is that fun! I can't wait for tomorrow - maybe I can splash more water....
I've also recently discovered that my fingers and hands are delicious. How come nobody told me that earlier. They are so yummy especially when I am waiting for my bottle. (they taste way better than my binky) ;)
I have been doing a lot of sleeping, eating and crying over the past few days. I am not sure why everyone can't understand that I just want to be held. It seems so simple to me. My adoptive mom hasn't gotten anything done this week, but I've sure enjoyed my time with her.
It's late and I can barely keep my eyes open. Happy Dreaming... :)

Change of Plans

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we didn't make it out to my adoptive grandparents dairy farm this weekend... I am not sure if I should be happy or sad. My adoptive mom was sad, but understood that the circumstances just didn't make sense to go. She told me that we would try again in a couple of weeks.

I love bathtime! It is the best... What's not to like -- warm water, splashing, no clothes, massage, yummy lotion, and all the kicking before getting dressed again. See what I mean - What's not to like?

My adoptive parents tried to measure me to see how long I am. You should have seen it - it was funny! They still don't know. Hee, Hee.

I am off to bed - Sweet Dreams to all - I love you!

What do I do with this?

Hi everyone - My adoptive mom put this thing in my hand yesterday. What do I do with it? She was shaking me hand and it made noise, but I am not sure that I like it at all. It is a little strange....

Can you believe that I am 6 weeks old? WOW - times flies when you are having fun and sleeping a lot. My adoptive mom can't wait to find out how much I've really grown at my next doctor's appointment.
My cold is quite a bit better, but not completely gone. I only have trouble breathing in the morning and just before bedtime. It makes my daytime hours much more enjoyable.
Have a great day and weekend! I am headed to my adoptive grandparents dairy farm for the weekend. That is sure to be an adventure.

Should I Laugh?

My adoptive dad was holding me tonight and my adoptive mom was of course trying to make me smile. Of course, I was smiling cause they are so funny when they talk to me, but my adoptive mom hasn't yet figured out how to take a picture of me smiling. She is so funny!
Hope everything has a good night. My cold is really making me tired, so I am off to bed. Sweet Dreams to all! :)

Smiling is Fun!

I've decided that I like to smile! I love the facial expressions that people have when I smile at them. My adoptive mom spent a good share of time trying to capture a smile with the camera today. (I am so sneaky when she pulls out that camera). She was finally able to capture one. What do you think?

My birthdad's birthday

Today was my birthdad's birthday. We all met for lunch at Applebees. It was so fun to see him again. I love my birthparents so much. My adoptive parents loved watching my birthparents with me today - they said it was so cute.
Before lunch I went to the doctor, cause my adoptive mom was concerned about my cold. The doctor told us that I was to young for anything besides a humidifer and saline nose drops. I wasn't excited to hear that at all.
When I finally took a nap, my adoptive mom took several pictures. She said it was the first time all day that I looked peacefuly and content.
I'm off to get some sleep. Love you all! Hope you have sweet dreams! :)

Being sick is no fun.

Last night, I came down with a cold. I am so congested that the only way that I can sleep is in my car seat (see today's picture). I don't like being sick - it is no fun! My adoptive mom & I are so tired tonight, we are making this short and headed to bed. Happy Dreaming! :)

Look at me!

Aren't I bright-eyed and bushy-tailed? My adoptive dad had just finished feeding me a bottle and was burping me when my adoptive mom snapped this picture. I think she was trying to snag a picture of me with my tongue out. I am way to quick for that!

Today, I just wanted to be held and cuddled. My nose is a little stuffy so I feel better when someone is holding me. I bet you all wish that were true for you to - Right.

I've just finished my bath and me bedtime routine, so now I must say goodnight. Goodnight to all :)

Can I play WOW too?

I was trying to play World of Warcraft with my adoptive dad tonight. His character died several times while I was in control, so I figured he would be better off without my help. I'll have to try again later, when it isn't so close to my bedtime - I'm sure that I could do better during the day.

This morning I slept for 6 hours straight. My adoptive mom wasn't quite sure what to do with herself. She got some work done in the yard, most of the clothes folded and quite a few phone calls returned. She couldn't believe it. She even told me that she kept checking on me to make sure I was breathing. I've never slept that long at one time since I was born. I like to keep her on her toes and guessing what my next move will be. I think she secretly likes it.

It is time for some shut-eye. I need my energy to keep my adoptive mom guessing tomorrow. Have good dreams :)

My first overnight trip!

I had my 1st overnight trip this weekend. After church on Sunday, we left for my adoptive mom's family reunion. We stayed in my aunt Sharon's family cabin. It was fun, but boy do those cousins make a lot of loud noises. I was really happy when they left me alone long enough to sleep. We only stayed 1 night because my adoptive dad had to work on Monday night. I can't wait until next year when I can be more active and play with the other grandkids :)

My adoptive mom was so proud of me! I slept for almost 5 hours continously last night...I hope she doesn't get too excited, I'm not sure I am ready to do that every night! Sweet Dreams!

I am 1 Month Old Today!

Can you believe that I am 1 month old today! Wow, does time fly when you are having fun.
My adoptive parents took me with them to see a movie today. We saw Ratatouille. I don't remember much, but they said it was cute. I was eating my lunch and the next thing I remember was waking up as they walked out of the theater. I can tell you 1 thing for sure - my nap was great!
Tomorrow we are going to my adoptive mom's family reunion right after church. I am excited, but a little nervous. I am the 9th grandchild on that side of the family and I anticipate that there will be lots of noise and rough-housing. Wish me luck!
Sweet Dreams!

Those darn camera batteries!

The camera batteries died tonight when my adoptive mom tried to download the pictures to the computer. Oops! She told me that she'll have to edit this post tomorrow and add a pictures. Sorry to all those who are checking this blog regularly.

Tonight my adoptive mom's friends had a party to bring me presents and come see how beautiful I am. (at least that's what my mom told me). I got a lot of nice stuff. My adoptive mom's friends are really nice.

Good Night! More pics tomorrow! :)

P.S. Can you believe that I was 4 weeks yesterday! Wow!

Independence Day

I was so excited for the BBQ and the fireworks yesterday... But, I don't really like loud noises. My adoptive mom took me home and gave me a bath and bottle before the fireworks in our neighborhood really got started. I was pretty much out when all the loud noises started. My adoptive mom held me and covered my ears so I wouldn't get startled awake. Maybe, next year I'll get to see all the pretty fireworks.

My adoptive mom took a picture of us chilling at home. She forgot to take my bib off - it's cute, huh....

Today, July 5th, I've had a rough day. I am not feeling quite like myself and have cried a lot. For some reason, I just can't relax and take a nap. I am hoping that I will sleep well tonight.

Hope all of you enjoyed your independence day celebrations! :)

Wake-Up Sequence

My adoptive dad got home from work just in time to feed me tonight. I liked having my adoptive dad feed me. I think he kind of liked it to. I heard him tell my adoptive mom that he misses me when he goes to work everyday. He must really love me! :)
My adoptive mom and dad have noticed that I have a wake-up sequence when I am waking up from a nap. I make noises and do a little grunting. I wiggle around a lot and do some stretching. Tonight, I was my stretching was too fast - they couldn't get a picture of my stretches, but they tried.
I can't wait for the fireworks tomorrow. I hope that they are too loud. I don't really like loud noises. It's my 1st 4 of July and I can't wait. I better rest up so that I am ready for my 1st holiday. Sweet Dreams to all! ;)

Sleeping on the Job

My adoptive parents call this - sleeping on the job. They say that because I only responsible for a few things everyday and eating is one of them. They just don't understand that you have to take short naps while eating so that I will have the energy to finish the bottle. Silly, aren't they?

Today, I wasn't eating or sleeping very well. My adoptive mom has had to hold me all day. I would eat 1 oz and then sleep for 30 to 45 minutes then eat 1 more ounce. She even slept with me on the couch last night hoping that I would sleep better. Hopefully, she's figured out that I just wanted to cuddle all day. It was just one of those days - you know! My new aunt Sharon and cousins, Charlie and Matthew (from Michigan) flew in today. I can't wait to see them this week. It will be so much fun.... I'd better get some sleep so I can play when they come over. Happy Sleeping :)

My first Sunday in church

Today was my first Sunday in church. My adoptive parents wanted me to look perfect, so I got a bath and was covered in baby lotion (so I would smell good) before we went to church. I really liked my bath, but I did't like my hair being washed, it made me so cold....

My adoptive parents only took me to part of our Sunday meetings today. There were lots of people who wanted to see me. Everyone comments on how much hair I have. I was so good that I slept most of the time we were at church. They were so proud of me.

I didn't sleep well last night, so I was ready for bed early tonight. My adoptive mom said that she would finish up this post so that I could go to bed early tonight.... I hope you all have good dreams - that's my plan! :) Good Night!

Still trying to find my schedule.

My adoptive mom totally forgot to do a posting last night. She is naughty!

Last night, I got to see my birthparents. We went to dinner with them. It was wonderful to see them and they looked great! My birthmom and her mom held me all the way through dinner. I love them so much. They are super special to me and my adoptive parents.

I'm still tring to find my schedule. It's a good thing my adoptive parents are so patient with me. I am awake alittle more each day. I really like lights. It's fun seeing new things. It's a very interesting world out there. So much to learn and so much to see!
